The Jade in this pendant is from Cowell Australia, its chemical composition is so high in iron it appears black, when it is actually a dark green. You can see the green in the jade, when you put it up to a bright light.

All of our Jade is 100% Natural.

This is a beautifully carved piece, smooth and subtle - seemingly black under everyday lighting with a dark green edge only slightly visible if there is a powerful backlight behind the pendant.

This is an elegant deep black minimalistic leaf. The black jade material is interesting as it is an extremely deep green, but the green undertone is not at all perceptible unless backlit by a strong focused torch beam. It is barely perceptible when backlit by direct sunlight, and lit from the front in sunlight, it appears completely black. Fascinating!
